
Our Story
It all started with a family of five living in Kabul , Afghanistan during The first Taliban Take over in 1994 . During the time we lived in Baghlan , Afghanistan As Wahid Noori The Founder And CEO of 'The Fort Cuisine Of India' was working for group if Irani people during that time the Taliban did not like that . So he got locked up and beaten everyday for about 45 days he did not think he was going to survive. Eventually they let him out of jail and we where able to escape Afghanistan as our fear grew and we did not want to go through what we had been . We went to Pakistan And Lived there for about 6 years as we applied for a Refugee case to be able to come to t he USA. Long story short our we where able to get our ACCEPTANCE to USA but had no idea where we are going or how where getting there we where just so glad this had all paid of. Fast forward we had left Pakistan in 2001 we got to Beautiful SLC,UT and we have been living here since . Wahid Noori knew all you had to do here is work hard and you well live the American dream . Thats when Wahid got Introduced To Harpall Singh owner Of Mumbai House Indian Cuisine Started working there 2003 and worked as a bus boy with no English at all but he was motivated and he did not settle he always finished his job and went to the kitchen because his real passion was cooking and always would ask the chefs what they needed and would get it done and always did things without having to be told . The first month he got a raise then 6/7 month later started working in the kitchen after the year was working on the line as a cook his love for Indian spices and a desire to share the flavors was unmatched . Though not born in India, our founder's passion for cooking and dedication to mastering traditional Indian recipes have set us apart as the go-to destination for authentic Indian cuisine in Utah.
